Beginning Pilots should choose a Light Sport Aircraft.
By FAA regulation Light Sport Aircraft are simple to fly, and have slow landing speeds, which means they are safer to fly for inexperienced pilots. They also cost way less than other certified aircraft. Light Sport Aircraft are the best choice all around for new pilots who are ready to buy their first aircraft.
Airgyro Aviation offers two choices in the Light Sport Category. There is the all new, great looking, Pulsar LSA airplane. And there is the latest in rotorcraft, the Gyroplane. Which should you choose? Here are some considerations:
If you are flying just for fun, you may want to choose the gyroplane. You can fly lower and slower and see more of the scenery, but you can still go high and fast. And if you want to land and take-off in places an airplane can't, you need a gyroplane.
However, if you fly longer distances, or if you plan to move up later to faster and larger fixed wing airplanes, you should start with the SLSA airplane. It is a slower, lower stall-speed airplane which is the safest way to build experience. SLSA airplanes hold two peoople. Later, there are bigger and faster aircraft that you can move up to when you become sufficiently experienced. And Airgyro makes trading up easy.
By starting with an FAA designated Light Sport Aircraft, you can get your license quicker, afford to fly more often, and will be safer as you do. That is the right way to start flying.
