Sport Pilot License
This FAA has greatly reduced the obstacles to becoming a pilot. A Sport Pilot license can be obtained with as little as 15 hours of flight training. Then after 5 more hours of soloing, you can take one additional passenger with you. A valid driver's license substitutes for the medial exam. How can it be safe to let someone fly with so much less training? The answer is that Sport Pilots are limited to flying simple to fly, two place aircraft, called Special Light Sport Aircraft (SLSA) by the FAA. Airgyro Aviation offers Sport Pilot training in SLSA aircraft. All of the hours accumulated as a Sport Pilot count towards a regular pilots license. Sport Pilot is a faster, lower cost way to learn to fly.

Safer, simpler, more fun way to learn
The very easiest way to learn to fly is in a Sportcopter II rotorcraft with the SafetyRotor™. The Sportcoptor qualifies for the Sport Pilot license. The SafetyRotor™ of the Sportcopter provides lift at very slow speeds, so you can learn without having to fly faster than stall speed. This aircraft won't stall with the SafetyRotor™. You won't need to have fast reflexes, nor operate flaps, ailerons and rudder all at the same time. This aircraft can be flown with one hand. And if anything goes wrong with the engine or propeller, the SafetyRotor™ will keep rotating and act like a parachute to enable a safe landing. In fact, you could learn to fly in one week! And once you do, the hours in this aircraft count toward both a fixed wing pilot's license or a helicopter pilot's license. With some hours of flying under your belt, the transition can be easy. But for many, the Sportcopter is so fun and versatile, you will just keep flying it as your primary aircraft.

Professional Flight Instruction
There is a big difference between flight schools. Airgyro Aviation is focused on meeting the needs of busy businessmen and commercial pilot students. We offer training in new modern aircraftt with avionics like you will be flying after you learn. We use a flight simulator, and our ground school provides one on one coaching, to ensure you will pass the FAA tests. Our chief pilot, Mike Burton, has over 4,000 hours of air time, most of it doing flight training in a wide variety of aircraft. Our training will move as fast as you can. Our school isn't trying to build hours for student instructors who are headed to the airlines. We hire professional career instructors.

Highly Rated Training - from the students themselves
"After looking for quite some time around the Salt Lake and Utah Valleys for the most competitive aviation training program, I began pilot training with Airgyro Aviation. With a full-time work schedule, I was nervous about finding a school that would work with my hours. Instructors from Airgyro were willing to meet with me before and after work. I felt very free and open to express my individual situation and needs. Airgyro was responsive and flexible regarding my training. I felt that they were very interested in helping me achieve my goal in the shortest amount of time possible. They provided all the necessary training tools that I needed in order to successfully train. I credit Airgyro with helping me to obtain my private pilot license at 45 hours. That's what they said they were aiming for from the beginning." Ryan Harding
