The most advanced gyroplane. Fully enclosed, with centerline thrust, large horizontal and vertical stabilizers, cushioned landing gear, and ease of flying with the roto-control.
Glass Panel Avionics
Sportcopter offers the Garmin 496 with GPS, weather, etc. as well as the Dynon flight panel, transponder, radio and all the standard instruments as well. It is the most sophisticated flight deck on a gyroplane.
Stronger Rotorhead
The heaviest duty rotorhead on the market distinquishes the Sportcopter.
Hydraulic Prerotator
This strong prerotator won't wear out regularly like the cable-driven alternatives. It also shortens take-offs because it is so powerful. Get to 300 rpm.
Landing shock absorber
Ten inches of travel enables drop in landings from ten feet. The competition has less than 1 inch of absorbtion. When learning to land, you will love this feature.
Free-castoring Nosewheel
On a crosswind landing with a steerable nosewheel, you have your nosewheel cocked, which could cause a tip-over. This nosewheel will adjust for you. It also makes for dead centerline takeoffs.
Heavy Duty Disk Brakes
Compared to the drum brakes of the competition, these are stronger, will last longer, and are easier to adjust.
Flight Control Elbow
The leverage reduction from this elbow takes away the stick over-sensitivity common to most other rotorcraft flight controls.
